Drivewear lens technology
The human eye is a wonderful instrument designed to collect visual information. Transitions Drivewear lenses maximize the eye’s natural abilities in different light conditions and various day time activities.

High contrast yellow/green colour
In overcast conditions Drivewear lenses allow maximum light to reach the eye. The high contrast polarizer eliminates blinding glare, maximizing visual acuity. This enhances the performance of the eye's visual receptors, improving visibility even when driving in poor weather conditions. At this stage Drivewear lenses have a contrast enhancing yellow/green colour, and light absorption is 65%.

Copper colour
Car windshields block the UV rays that activate standard photochromic molecules. Instead, newly developed Transitions photochromic molecules respond to bright visible light. The lens colour changes to copper and light absorption increases to 78%. The lenses still block blinding glare and provide enhanced visual comfort for the driver.

Dark brown colour
Outside of the car the lens is also exposed to UV light which activates the third Transitions photohromic layer. The colour changes to dark brown and light absorption increases up to 88%.
